Afternoon coffee 7/26

Two cups of coffee with non-dairy creamer.

Wonder if that’s why I’m feeling a bit jittery…

Lunch 7/26

* Scrambled eggs with vegetables (2 eggs or so)
* 1 cup carrot sticks
* a plum
* 20 oz. Water

And I have passed by the evil jar of mini Heath bars about ten times so far today.

Breakfast 7/26

The following spam of food posts is an experiment in public accountability.  To you my friends I commit to record everything I’m eating. This provides a source of social pressure to help me make excellent food choices. At least, that’s the intent.  It might just be some form ofexhibitionism, though the fact I’m nervous about it suggests otherwise.

* 8 oz. Vanilla soy milk
* 2 spoons GNC soy protein shake (chocolate)

On drive to work:
* 20 oz. Coffee with non-dairy dreamer.

Sunday Morning Restart

It is a new week. Doing some reading and working on the Applefest website. Thinking a lot about free will and choices. That ties into the whole challenge around exercise and diet.  What helps (or hinders) in our efforts to improve? Why is it that fitness seems so much easier for some than others?
That is the topic of my current read, a book about our darker sides. The title is, “Why Good People Do Bad Things – Understanding Our Darker Selves”, by Dr. James Hollis. The book is centered around the concept of “The Shadow”; it is dense reading but very interesting.
